Solar-Breeze Improvements for 2013

The design team at Solar Pool Technologies have made six changes to the Solar-Breeze robotic pool cleaner.  Two of these improvements will make a very significant difference to your experience.  The other four changes will enhance the operation and the longevity of the product in less visible ways.  The two most exciting enhancements are:

  1.  Longer operating hours due to firmware improvements in charging routines and reduced power consumption in new motors, and
  2. Hunt for Sun feature for improved operation in shaded pools

Our new motors consume 40% less power during operation.  Think about that – 40%!!  Not only are they more economical, but by drawing less energy, they allow the unit to run more hours out of each 24.  The unit will be able to run 12 hours on a full battery charge.

Solar-Breeze 2.0 model 2013

Terry Maaske, co-inventor of the Solar-Breeze, has rewritten the firmware to include a function we call “Hunt for Sun”.  The robot actually hunts for sun.  When it comes across a patch of sun, it rests there to allow the solar panels to soak up the solar energy and recharge the unit.

The combination of these two features and the four other improvements mean that your Solar-Breeze will run even more hours every day and clean your swimming pool even more effectively.

Europeans will be interested to know that the Solar-Breeze is now CE certified and our rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries are approved under the UN38 convention.
